amiko mini combo, switches on but nothing

plugged everything in, switched on, box says on, hdmi switches over to correct channel but nothing comes through?
tried through a hdmi my ouya and ps3 works on, but nothing through this.
am i missing something simple?
after the box says on, there is just a green light bottom left side, no time or channel number, is it dead?

If you press menu does anything come up on the screen ?

got picture, had good level and quality and was advised to put software update on. Now cant get level or quality. Using Gateshead cable frequency 4096 s that right?
