Any advise on which box ?

Help another newbie. Starting off buying a decent box seem to be torn between the xtrend 8500 and the vu range running twin sat tuners and twin cable tuners and internal hard drive. Any advise on which box ?

Would you be able to help on the tuner side set up. I'm looking for 1 sat but mainly cable record two preferably and watch another. Is there a tuner available without splitting the cable? Thanks

You just need a patch lead from output of first cable tuner to input of the second.
