Auto timer crashing

Hi, I just got this box so I'm new to this set up but everytime I try to add a timer it crashes and I'm not sure what to do.
Hard drive was initialised and has already recorded so it's fine.
Anybody any ideas?

what image are you using on the box? when you say crash does it black screen with code and then reboot?

Image as in Vix? Openvix? That what u mean?
Yeh get an error code and says needs to reboot but actually doesn't reboot no matter how long I leave it like that.
Just black screen with load of writting

Yes by image he means what version for vix/openatv etc.

you could try backing up your line details then reflashing to see if that fixes the issue, has it never worked or only recently tried it?

Yes it has worked before it is only recently that it will crash.
Also I had 2 auto timers set up that I don't need anymore so I deleted them but after the box being on stand by or even switched off and on again the deleted timers are back again, even tried just disabling them but go back to active timers.
This have anything to do with crashes?

Just tried recoding the channel I was watching and it crashed

Have you got it saving to usb/hard drive

Yeh it's saving to /media/hdd/movie/

Do you have EPG or picons etc on the HDD? just ruling out that's not faulty, although it sounds like something has got corrupt in Vix itself, do you have a backup from before the issues?

I think they're saved to the internal, I didn't back it up unless it does it automatically?
How will I check?
