B tuner failed

My brother in law has problem with his box His box is set up correct ie loop is not connected both in lnb in It will scan tuner A but not B When you check Signal strength tunner A is ok
Tunner B comes up with no signal strength and tune failed the cables and lnb are fine as they work his original skybox Any ideas
 
Hi you don't say which image you are using but try updating it configure tuner B to advanced and scan again it may help.
 
Hi it's Vix image Tried advanced set to 28.2 still the same was wondering if tuner had gone

Also sorry if sounds patronising but make sure its top lnb and bottom right as u look at back of box. V badly labelled. Looks like loop is B.
 
Yes mate it is even tried just having B tuner plugged in still the same

I'm also having problems with tuner B
I can’t tune in to some channels, getting ‘tuner failed’

If I change cable to tuner A all channels work fine.

Is this a manufacturing default? or is tuner B poor/weak?
 
I have got same problem with mine Zgemma 2S, Tuner A is fine , Tuner B cannot tune into some channels ! Running Open ATV 5.0
 
I found my problem, my loop was connected to the TV. TV was locking diseqc.
remove your loop and try again.
 
the odd time i had that on my vu duo recheck f connector connections and have box powered off first before removing/refitting any cable.

diseqc is only used for motorised ,i doubt many have it?
