Hi, i have recently switched from a sky+ HD box to a Skybox F5 and obviously there are a few benefits with the skybox F5 but the user interface/pause live tv/recording functions/channel guide etc. are not as nice as the original sky+ box. i was just wondering can anyone recommend a box that my N-Line will work on and have a few of the nicer functions on it?

You would be looking at a box for about £150.
7 day EPG, One button timer recording function.
Single tuner boxes.
Blade,DM800,VU solo or something like that.

Pay about £300 for a twin tuner box
something like the VU Duo. Added function of allowing
you record one program while watching another

You would be best having a read in each section.

I have a blade and found it glitchy when trying
to pause / playback whilst still recording.
Don't know if it's the HDD speed, the box, or the
internet ?

It is fine playing back once the program has been recorded.
 
cheers mate, i was reading about the DM800 and Vu Duo and edging towards the VU Duo. maybe after a couple of months savings i'll splash out :grin:
 
I am new to the forum and my immediate interest is the DM 800 unfortunately i know liitle about its area use kindly may someone elaborate to me its functions and cost
