Best tv

What’s peoples thoughts on tv’s? Looking for 55 inch tv up to about £1200-1400 sick of going into curry’s and getting info off lg rep then Samsung and Sony telling me there’s is the best, it’s only for watching movies and sport via streaming really , cheers

I got a Samsung QN90A from Curry's about 6 months back and absolutely love it! My previous TV was over 10 years old though, so it was a huge upgrade for me.

Well for me the best TV is LG, but it is better to buy more than 55 inches. I don't know what this has to do with it, but the bigger the TV, the better it works. It's just that all the small TVs I had, glitched, but the big ones didn't.

Samsung easily,

LG I wouldn't take as a gift, just a POS

Sony, Toshiba, Philips etc are all better than LG

Ive just bought a 55" oled Smagsiung in Currys.... 800 quid..
Basically went for the oled cause it had a very thin borderless screen...
They had an LG i liked but it was exdisplay and god knows how long it had been run... no discount!

I’m watching the prices on the LG G3 but the Sony A95L is a better TV but the extra cost is not worth it imo. The G3 doesn’t come with a stand.

So has Sony Oled tvs taken over this year? Because I remember it was LG the award winning last year.

Thanks all, I'm stumped with all the reviews and cant figure why so many get 10/10 on avforums and then you read, poor remote, no hdr10+ and so on. My worry is poor motion and burn in. That sony A95L gets good reviews but I saw lots of stuff about lip sync on sony's and I did buy a 55 sony 2 years ago for the OTH, as a standby, but screen was too big. While I had it lip sync was poor. Swopped to a 43 and could only fix lip sync with optical out.

I think QLED means QUANTUM DOT and makes OLED even better. This one is also higly recommended Samsung S90C.

For some reason I am drawn to the LGC3

What’s the difference in Oled & Qled?
Samsung have taken LD Oled technology and added their quantum dot technology and merge the two together. To create an QD OLED panel with higher peak brightness(nits).
But LG have added MLA technology to the their panels to match Samsung’s panels.
