Best Underlay for soundproofing Laminate

Hi, just bought some laminate for the living room, 12mm thick....so that's the coming Bank Holiday weekend done and dusted.

As the title says, what would you recommend as the best underlay to stop or suppress the sound of walking on underlay? Not sure what type to buy as I've seen many diffreent sorts but what would you recommend from experience?

I have had good results using the green fibre board but thicker the better really

Thanks, another question I had was cutting the laminate...I was going to use a saw? Is that the best method as I don't really want to purchase one of those cutting tools as its one off job and finances are limited.

Jigsaw is recommended for cutting laminate although a fine handsaw would do the job.

Cheap jigsaws take little chips out of the cut line, you can't see it if you use beading or put under skirting, if finances are limited just use a saw, in the bedrooms in ours I don't waste my money on underlay. I use cardboard boxes and underlay spray glue. Just as good and only costs the price of glue. Boxes can be picked up from newsagents and fast food chains.
