Blade 7000 locking up on using usb pendrive?

Any ideas what's going wrong. I've a 7000 working perfectly running on the latest unofficial firmware.

I've sorted all the channels out and wanted to save the channel data onto my usb stick (the same one I used to install the f/w), but the box freezes when I try to use it.


If I insert it when the box is switched off, then switch the box on, the display just defaults to '0' and a message onscreen states 'pvr ready', and it's frozen, no buttons work, including the power button on both the remote and box.

If I insert it when the box is already on, it displays something like 'usb inserted' and again totally freezes up.

Have you tried formatting the USB stick on a pc before you insert it?

It was formatted to fat32.

I have already used this pendrive to install the firmware on the box without issue

If you have another USB stick try that and see if it still has the same issue.

Have you tried a factory reset on the box or a fresh new install of the firmware with another stick???

I reformatted the stick and it is now fine. Strange, but at least problem solved
