Bt youview box

I've purchased a refurbished bt box from a firm called phones online through Amazon and I am having problems with it,it switches on ,says waking up, goes to screen with youview on it and then nothing screen goes blank,HDMI2 pops up in corner blue lights are on everything's connected ,have I got a dud box or is there something I'm missing !anyone any dealings wit has phones online?

Is the tv your using it on 1080p ?

The reason I'm asking is if the box is set for 1080p and your tv is only standard hd you will need to plug it into a 1080p tv then go into the av settings and change it to 740

Might not be it's quite an old bush one!

See if you can find a newer tv just to plug it in and change the av settings

Yep have done that and have changed setting to 720 and bingo it works!
