Its been a while!
So I'm experiencing Glitching issues / weak signal.
Downstairs new installation Virmin.
Cable into the house to a technetix TRIS-1002L - fully isolated system outlet
5-1000mhz 0.4db
simple straight in and out to a 2 way splitter that goes into tivo box and router.
the tivo is fine when its set up that way - no glitching.
when I change the technetix isolater box to a 2 way eco splitter 5-1000mhz 3.7 db
1 output goes into the other splitter which feeds tivo and router and the other output upstairs which feeds the stb.
when both boxes (tivo & XT et8500) are plugged in, some channels dont clear on the tivo and some are glitchy.
and im getting tune failed on a handful of on the XT et8500.
I've read up on the cable signal being too weak and needing a amplifier, also reading up on the signal being to strong and needing to reduce it.
would you reduce the ammount of splitters there are or would you get amp to boost the signal?
