cannot find ip address for amiko alien 2??

im trying to connect amiko alien 2 to the pc via ftp but the box shows 0.0.0.0 in the ip address even thou I have connected the box to pc via Ethernet??

I turned dchp off and entered different ip address and still cannot connect.

I used user root and pass root

do I need to use crossover cable?

U ave it connected to pc with cable or the router?

Its connected to the pc directly via ethernet

have you configured the network on box to join the network,sometimes also have to reboot box and router to link up.

Thats why. U need to connect your box to the router

all lan devices need their own connection to get an ip address.

But should still if i make up the ip address on the box dchp off

Just connect to router and set dhcp on
