channels gone

triwley

Newbie
hello my paid channels have gone.

i reflashed my edision osmini earlier today.
put the latest sky skin on

I set it up as per E2 setup instructions and i always do this
ive put the mg_cfg file and newcamd.
the internet is connected by LAN and is recognised by the osmini
Ive channel scanned and they all there and EPG upto date
Ive put the memory stick in and initialized it.

The Free to air channels are fine.

My Nline was working yesterday and i bought them as a set and everyone elses is fine.
Ive contacted the seller and he says no probs his end and he has been very reliable if there ever is a problem he gets it fixed quick.

Also a week ago i broke my plug but replaced it with an exact match and it has was all fine till i reflashed.

whats the craic lads im proper stuck.

Also ive turned it all off and on again 4 times

What am i missing

have u stop and start cam menu setup services and searching cam manager tick cam green to start and blue auto enable

Have you gone into Network settings to see if the box has a IP address and a connection to the internet, try looking in plugins and downloading a plugin you don't have to see if it will.

Also if your using MGCam 1.38 try using 1.35 or a different mg_cfg file too to see if that makes a difference.

if he has reflashed box without prior saving mg_cfg and newcamd list to desktop first line is gone.
only use mgcamd 1.38 with nline

If you can't access the net via your box then I'd look at something like a new Ethernet cable or change the port your connected in on your router. You should be able to get a internet connection on your box and not just for the line either, plugins should work and so should the update feature on the box as these are OS features and nothing to do with lines.

i have internet access on the box
i can download plugins and update the EPG.

the line works.

I just cant get the channels.

Is it a faulty box but how. I still get regular channels.

if your line works then then the channel would clear.
Do you have Kiddac skin installed? IF so you can change one of the setting to show ECM/orbital position and that will show whether you have connected to a server.
Regular channels are free to air so you will clear them.

ill try that now cheers.
I just reflashed and started again from scratch.

Still the same.
but ill install kiddac skin now

hi

Which softcam are you using? I have extracted this excellent piece from Kiddac's post:

Install a line for CCcam
Your line starting with either C: or N: needs to go in a file called CCcam.cfg
It will be in the follow format
C: server.com port-
number username password
N: server.com port-
number username password
01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 # 0000
If you do not have an existing CCcam.cfg file you need to make a new one with notepad.
(Make sure you save it as CCcam.cfg with correct case with no .txt at the end)
Locate your file in the left panel and transfer it to usr/keys in the right panel.
(the keys file can also sometimes live in /etc.

therefore it is recommend you copy it to both user/keys and to
/etc. that way you do not have to guess the correct location)
Open softcams panel
. Menu... Info Panel... Softcam Panel
Select Cam 1

press left or right to select CCcam 2.3.0
Select Cam 2

no cam
Start/Restart (Green button)
Converting a Nline for use in CCcam
Your nline might come in the following format.
CWS_KEEPALIVE = 300
CWS_INCOMING_PORT = 21000
CWS = server.com 12345 username password 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 # 0000
To convert for use with CCams remove the top 2 lines and replace the last CWS with N:
N: server.com 12345 username password 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 # 0000

Install a Nline for MGCamd
Your line provider should email you 2 files.
newcamd.list
mg_cfg
newcamd.list is your line details and be similar to this format
CWS_KEEPALIVE = 300
CWS_INCOMING_PORT = 21000
CWS = server.com 12345 username password 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 # 0000
mg_cfg is your configuration file and will look something like this compacted version.
# EMM messages
M: { 01 }
# ECM messages
C: { 01 }
# AU
A: { 02 }
# key update (sum 01 or 02 with 04)

# debug, summ of

F: { 00 }
Locate your 2 files in the left panel and transfer it to usr/keys in the right panel.
(the keys file can also sometimes live in /etc.

therefore it is recommend you copy it to both user/keys and to
/etc. that way you do not have to guess the correct location)
Open softcams panel

press left or right to select Mgcamd-

okay right

i changed it to a CCcam.cfg file by changing CWS = to N:

if that is correct and i hope somebody can tell me they have done this before and it works.

It reads on the servers option

server name(i wont name it)
Cards 0
Type: newcamd
Version: N/A
NodeID: N/A
Connected:

Also there is a red dot next to the server name at the top

i want to be 100% sure as i got a good few accounts with the guy and he said its not his end

If you have a N line (CWS) it uses a .list at the end. For example
newcamd.list which goes with your mg_cfg file in usr/keys

So line line should look like
CWS = bestserverintheworld.com bla bla bla

If you want to PM me your line I'll check it for you.Just make sure your receiver is switched of at the mains.

If your running CCcam then make sure you remove the newcamd.list file from user/keys folder and visa versa as you can't have both protocols running.

A CCcam.cfg will look like this

C: or N: host name/IP address Port Username Password 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 so an example would be N: techkingslines 01824 Blackwidow QWERTY 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

and a newcamd.list file will look like this:

CWS_KEEPALIVE = 60
CWS = host name/IP address Port Username Password 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

You get the idea. and you can download a new mg_cfg file from my dropbox here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/gldrxfjf3y8o3vu/mg_cfg?dl=0 this is my mg_cfg and works on my box just fine.
