Cable Complete Newbie - DIY or buy full package?

Currently have a standard Vm package but looking to replace with an H2H box. Been chatting to someone on Fb about buying a box from him with all Vm and s** channels, but I'm wondering if it's easy enough to do myself, i.e. buying the box separately and setting it up myself. I'm completely ignorant but reasonably good at following instructions, I think, I just don't want to disconnect and cancel the TV package and end up with nothing! I've got a firestick loaded with Kodi for movies etc, but it can be a little hit and miss for live sports/tv.

All help and advice greatly appreciated :)
 
Awrite bud, i am new to all this as well. I bought my box from zgemma and downloaded wooshbuild. I am taking my old N line from my openbox. It all seems easy enough tbh. There are some great video on YouTube that show you how to do it all. You should be able to do it by yourself no problem.

There are plenty of ppl on here that will help. You should have no problems getting a line as well.
