Connecting an edision box

A friend has recently bought a edision os mini cable box. He had an active bb. Can you help in the actual physical setup. Obviously with edision sky version the feed comes from the satellite dish but on vm cable how does it work? The coax from the Edision box needs to connect to what exactly? Any help would be appreciated.

he needs an active bb from vm to work,coaxial cable into house before your modem you fit a tratec splitter 5- 1000mhz one side goes to router/modem,or side of splitter goes to coaxial feed into box so to scan for channels, to open channels will also need a lan cable.

Hi there. Many thanks for that. Can the splitter be bought in the shops or best to get from amazon ebay etc. Any specific links?
