Connection error

Hi everyone

Desperate for some help with my issue. I have a MAG 256 and it’s worked spot on for a year with Ethernet. Now I am getting connection error messages a lot with the box not connecting to portal or freezing regularly.

Only thing I’ve done new was I bought a WiFi adaptor just to try for when I take it away with me but only used WiFi once. Went back to Ethernet as normal but I’m constantly losing connection and the box also freezes. Might have 20 mins of ok streaming then it eventually comes.

Has anyone had this issue? Can the box be saved or do I need to purchase a new one?

Did you do a speed test of your internet speed?

Has your provider got isp lock on where it locks to 1 ip address on first connection get him to kick your line see if that helps

Internet is fine. It does it in 3 different households. I tried it on parents and brothers just to make sure it wasn’t internet related. I have high speeds

Update - this is Ethernet only. WiFi works fine but obviously can lose quality at periods but never disconnects completely

Anyone know why Ethernet connection would do this and not WiFi?

Dodgy cable...change out the cable and try another
