Connection from dish to box

Losinh signal every few days on certain channels (freesat) Having to take out coaxial connection every few days and nip iabut of copper off or just undo cinnection and tighten up and works again.

Have you checked for water ingress?
Are there any signs of rust or corrosion on the dvb/s tuner thread?

If your doing that at the box end i dont see other than coincidence why it restores signal.

Do the same at the dish end and see how you go, if its still happening id start by replacing the LNB.

Take the end completely off and remake it making sure no stray strands of sheath, that is, don't just screw it off and on again.

What are your signal levels on box as should both be in the 90 mark.
How old is lnb

No rust or water ingress that I can see.

I have remade it a few times by stripping cable etc. Dont no how old lnb is. Maybe 10 years

I wonder if 10 years he wont get it off because of corrosion and might need new lnb and f connectors.

Any idea of signal levels?

Hard to tell unless you know the s.n.r values faulty l.nb
include missing channels, video pixilation, signal drop-out during heavy rain or a complete loss of signal If your using open atv image Download
the diseqc checker from the system plugins
Check to see what v or h side of the transponder is failing

Snr is between 90 and 97 on certain channels. Low band v says with error rest are all working ok.
