Delay of 10 seconds from FTA to gift channels (Latest OSCam)

I'm using OpenVix and i wana carry on using OScam.

My lines are fine and they work very stable.

My problem is that when i'm on a free to air for too long and go on a cable channel, it takes 10-15 seconds to give the image..

Anyone know a method to fix this for OSCAM?

On MGcamd i heard you could use CWS Keep Alive = 300 but since i have multiple lines can someone tell me a similar solution for newcamd lines for OScam?

Change your default reader restart from 5 to 1
It should make it quicker but there will always be a delay.

Thank you found it, is the wait for card delay any important within the config? Mine is set to 500 ms and wait for cards is disabled.

Are there any other settings that can cause delay for OSCam mate?

I'm not sure why you need to use oscam?
Just put your sky line in newcamd.list with the vermin line underneath it and use mgcamd.

CWS_KEEPALIVE = 60
CWS = slyserver port user pass 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14
CWS = vmserver port user pass 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

What's Keepalive? And what is the right setting?

Always use what your provider gives you and don't add or change your lines details. Ports can change and the keep alive may or may not be applicable to your line.

Edit: If using Oscam I would always ask your provider first, some don't allow the use of it.

I may have this completely round my doodahs but I think it is the time setting for mgcamd to connect to the server in seconds.
I believe that even if you're watching FTA the mgcamd will send a signal to the server every 60 seconds to keep the connection alive.

I am happy to be corrected on this as I really don't have much of a clue.
I only know that I don't get any delay when changing from Sly to VM.

Because it tells me which lines connected and not, therefore easier to check which provider is up n running and which one isn't.

I was before but other reason is cuz OSCAM uses faster line if you have more than one line (5 Sat + 3 VM) which i do..

Anyway to do KEEPALIVE on OSCAM mate?

I see my issue is fine from Sly to VM gift channels...

Issue arises when on FTA VM/Sly to Gift VM it takes longer for the line activation + reading time.

I have done what Dangerous recommended but still around 5 seconds delay so not sure what else can increase the speed of zapping and picture appearing like viewing from FTA to FTA.

It has nothing to do with the box i guess or because i have Swap Manager, FTA to FTA pictures appear fairly quickly (box's speed is the factor here) but the cam reading the lines is what is the issue here from what i see..

I just wanna know if keep alive is possible on OSCAM and if so how with the newcamd.list lines i have implemented.

Is it possible you could tell me the best settings for OScam lines eventhough there are threads on here...

Because they don't really give information on what causes the delay and what if the reader restart second is set to 0 what would that do?

Do i need to change anything and is there something that can slow the reading time on this?

Thanks

Cheers my provider is sound so ill leave it, I was asking for my father as his is now freezing after 40_50 minutes [fleabay line] and he has to restart his n line as when it freezes the softcam panels has no info in until the restart the mgcamd then OK for 40_50 minutes again.

New line time, sounds like a cheap over subscribed server.

That's what I thought, he said he will try it tomorrow but if still the same, he is coming on here to get some real service lol
