dish in france

hi

just set up a 1.2 m dish in france ,trying to get feed from Uk channels ,in poor weather I lose feeds ,what size of dish is recomended to recive a consistant signal

It's not a one size fits all situation.
A lot of France can obtain the signal from 28.2E on a 80cm dish whereas some areas cannot get it on a 1.9m dish.
You need to google the astra sat 2F coverage to see the requirements.

Sky are slowly but surely moving their channels onto the new narrow beam Astra satellite that SES put into action in June 2015 (to stop viewing outside the UK), so some channels still being broadcast from the older satellites will be absolutely fine, but the ones that have moved you will struggle with.
