Mpst games I have play clearly on PAL 60, but some games tell me they can't p;ay on anything other than PAL 50, is this a problem between MY TV and Xbox, or is this just something that happens. I presumed the reason I couldn't read anything off a game screen was the getting older effect, but if there are any other settings i can change, I would love to know about them.

Not sure about this one wheelo, i think if your connected to a hdtv itll just support the pal60 version unless the game itself has to be run on pal 50 which the tv and xbox will just make the necessary changes themselves.
I think once you are connected to hdtv the setting is dimmed out. check it under display settings and see if you can access screen format, mine is dimmed so i cant select it.
 
It is HD ready, will try to flick through the settings and see if i get anywhere. thanks for this idea, will let you know what happens
