Dual tuner question

Hey,

I'm looking to get a Dual tuner, I've currently got the Openbox V8s.

My questions is about the line / cables coming from the dish..

How many do I need ?

I've 2 cables coming from it at the minute... and this was connected to my Sky HD box and I was able to watch something and record something else.

With other Dual tuners ( i.e. a new one I want to get.) will i need to run 4 cables from the dish ? -- the reason I ask is i've looked at the back from some Dual boxes and they have 4 inputs for leads.. my single tuner has 2 inputs.... but then I look at the skybox and it only has 2 inputs.. but was still have to record / watch different things.

So will i need 4 leads ? or will 2 do ?

You will need two cables for a twin tuner, one looks after the recording function the other looks
after the viewing function.

You may have one cable in the "loop" connection in your V8s box, which won't be doing anything.

You have a single tuner at the mo so you can record one channel and watch a channel which is transmitted
on the same TP which is next to useless.

When recording your box basically locks itself to the channel when it is recording.
