Hi there. I have set up an edision os mini box for sky for an uncle. At this time they don't want a subscription. My concern is that if there is no lan or wlan connection obviously the scrambled channel remain scrambled but will things like the epg channel updates etc all still happen or do I need to leave the lan connected?

No it doesn't epg for sky is done over the air only need Internet for rytec sources, just use set up crossepg with open tv providers
