Probably get relegated over this...

Everton have received an immediate 10-point deduction after being found to have breached the Premier League's profit and sustainability rules.

The punishment is the biggest sporting sanction in the competition's history and leaves Everton 19th in the table on a new total of four points.
The club said it was "both shocked and disappointed" by the "wholly disproportionate and unjust" ruling.

Everton have said they intend to appeal against the decision.

The Premier League referred Everton to an independent commission in March but did not reveal the specifics of the club's alleged breach.

Everton posted financial losses for the fifth successive year in March after reporting a £44.7m deficit in 2021-22.

It's a farce , yes we are guilty and cooked the books like the majority of clubs, but 19.5m over spend and 10pts deduction is not proportional, 12pt was the max they could have sanctioned us with. Just doesn't add up

Bigger farce considering the bottom 3 as was , Luton, Sheff U and Burnley.

Everton will get out of that bottom three, there is no punishment there. Last couple of season they would of been down with minus 10.

Leicester, Burnley and Leeds. All three have been on the wrong end of relegation battles with Everton over the past two years. And according to the Daily Mail, they could seek as much as £300MILLION in damages - with each club estimating they lost around £100m from being relegated to the Championship. It is understood the three sides contacted 777 Partners - the Merseyside outfit's new owners - before the ruling to state their intention to sue if they were found guilty.

And it is now being reported chiefs from the three clubs met on Friday afternoon to reaffirm their plan to sue Everton.

Good luck, trying to sue us skint we are. Love the morality of the of the relegated clubs , all have over spent. **** em all.
Actually thought Leeds dropped there case when they stayed up.

If sued successfully and turn out skint and can't pay their creditors, They will put the club into administration and then a bigger points deductions will happen, that's how it works.

If that's what they hit Everton with, man city may be in league 2. Oh wait they'll just get a fine and forgot about. As always with these sanctions Everton will appeal and probably get the points dropped to 5. Appeals are always successful with ffp

Not saying we are not guilty just the punishment seems harsh but the precident has been set, will they stick to it with other clubs I have my doubts. If the commission state we gained bno sporting advantage being 20m over then not sure how clubs can then sue, but let's see. If they catch and punish every club according

Or the year befor. Will this cost city prem funds, champs league funds, cup funds and so on. And claims against them. I don't think so.... Paul

I don't know how more than one club can sue claiming they'd have stayed up at Everton's expense if a points deduction was implented last season - Leicester would have stayed up, Leeds, Southampton and Everton would have been relegated.

Not sure how they can conclude that the 5 clubs looking to sue can all justify they would have stayed up. We can only go down once.
