Hi
I have a hs2 with a 3gb hgst external hard drive which i formatted with the box, when i connect it to my pc the pc cant see it?..i have windows 8.1.....any info would be appreciated....

The hard drive will probably be formatted in a file system called ext4 as this is a Linux file system and the sat box runs Linux so Windows does understand it, or so I believe?

I think you can install some open source stuff to allow Windows to mount ext4, but be careful. Windows treats mount points differently to Linux.

sorted thanks to you guys.....used ext2fsd......life savers....thanks again

If you leave it plugged into your sat box and put the ip address of the box into Windows file Explorer you would be able to copy all films off the disk over your network
