Fiona Looney jokes with Colm and Jim Jim that Gerry Ryan is dead and that is why she is filling in. The sad truth is that Gerry had most likely passed at that point while they were speaking on air. A few hours later, his partner Melanie Verwoerd opened up Gerry's apartment and found him dead.

If Gerry hadnt died and was sick that day etc this comment wouldnt have been noticed but obiously people are picking up on it now,there wasnt anything uncanny what she said it was just in jest but unfortunately Gerry had died and coincided with the comment,like her or hate her Fiona was a great friend of his and knowing Gerry he would be laughing his head off now,he was the king of witty comments :)
