Flash with USB to RS232 cable Windows 10

Hi,

basically what I'm wanting to do is just rescue my old DM500s to use in the spare room but the image is fucked. So I bought the cable mentioned in the title, but I don't know how to actually flash the box using this cable. Could anybody talk me through it/help me along? I imagine I'll need drivers but I don't know where to find them.

You need to download Commando 15 and install---everything is pre-installed---look thru the threads for a download copy.

I've got the image downloaded to my PC, I meant the drivers for my PC for the cable to work. Sorry, I worded my post badly.

Use DREAMUP [ Version 3.2.1 ] to flash your dreambox 500s, only use your RS 232 cable to flash it, [ don't use network settings ] and flash it with the latest commando 15.1e, And read the instructions that come with the image m8 [ will save you a lot of hassle ]
