Press preset " 1 " repeatedly for 1st Digit
Press preset " 2 " repeatedly for 2nd Digit
Press preset " 3 " repeatedly for 3rd Digit
Press preset " 4 " repeatedly for 4th Digit
If the correct code number is now shown
Press preset " 5 " to Enter

Is this the method that you are are using to enter the code

yes it is , i will remove the radio tomorrow and check the serial number maches the sticker i have in the book for it maybe they don't match , not sure otherwise

code is correct for that serial number
have you checked serial number stamped on radio

I did not found any stamp on the radio, but i found in the radio something likely to serial PW89741

ford serial numbers begin with a V or M followed by 6 numbers
on some radios pressing 6 and 2 or 6 and 1 gives info that contains the serial number
