found a toad

walking to the pub tonight, about 9pm, almost stood on a toad, thought it was a frog at first, it's a common mistake . It was in the middle of a footpath, not a busy one but it stood a good chance of getting squashed, so I picked it up and moved it to the edge, near some bushes.
When I stopped and stood over it, it made the strangest motion, it pulled it's back legs in to make itself look smaller and actually pulled it's front feet over it's eyes, like a toddler hides - if I can't see you, you can't see me.
Hope it lives a long toady life and repays me by eating all those sh**y slugs that eat my bedding plants every spring

Hey you could always send me your slugs and snails we have hedgehogs in our garden but when they have eaten their fill is when they go walk about and risk the roads
