Good guide.
One thing i would not recommend is hiding Red button bouquet. That is where Sly Events is located. Vm broadcast PPV events on that channel.
I would also recommend using the following mg_cfg for cable. If you require cline to work with mgcamd cam, change G: {01} to G: {33}. Then enter cline in to Cccam.list which is located in /usr/keys directory.

Your satellite should be set to London custom. Not london SD.
Installing essential plugins like cache flush.
Setting up Swap disk does no harm.
IPTV player?
Installing a new skin.
Aligning your TV screen.
Initialising HDD/USB
Setting EPG save location.
Going through every menu to personalise the settings to your own build especially recordings and timeshift.
Personally I prefer having generate main bouquet set to yes for my "all channels" bouquet.
