i wanted to use virtual zap, which allows you to preview / watch another channel without changing channels. you can see it working here:

https://photos.app.goo.gl/qJa2fw72jRb0P3Zh2

i first needed to enable PIP on my box, which took a bit of finding. i eventually found a guide on a german forum and translated it:

menu>standby / restart> multiboot

you can now scroll to a selection that states : PIP enabled [experimental] (see thumbnail)

save and then fully reboot your box.

PIP should now be enabled. you can long-press blue to experiment with split screen / quarter fill etc PIP or you can use virtual zap to place it in the menu bar.

download the .rar and ftp the virtual zap folder to

usr/lib/enigma2/pugins/extensions

reboot

press green and scroll to the virtual zap plugin, where you can now configure it.

i use long press OK

when watching a channel long press OK, then scroll up/down to the channel you want to preview /watch and will appear in the menu bar.

works brilliantly with chab's new skyQ skin.

thanks to jwigely for the file / putting me onto virtual zap

enjoy fellow mutanteers

**some people have reported the bootmode can interfere with watching UHD content**

Can also affect Kodi, don't know if it still does?
It used to be that you could either have Kodi or Pip, not both.
