Finally after weeks of trying I’ve solved issue with h9s recording issue that seems to be a problem for a lot of people

When setting a recording you need to go down to ecm and change to descramble and should work try it and see mate

Nope didn't work
Just spinning circle again.

Explain what u actually went into to change the setting bazcfc1 has mentioned and if I can I’ll guide u if needs be

ok I tried two ways.
1. when I press record I go down to Recording Type and changed this to descramble and record ecm.
Then pressed green. The box froze and circle appeared.

2 Menu ,set up, Recordings and Time shift, recording settings, changed default recording type to descramble and record ecm.

On both occasions it failed

As soon as I’m back I will post I have what I did written down
I no it didn’t work until I flashed open atv 6.3 and wooshbuild infinity for some reason
Are you using both these on your zgemma h9s

I'm on i55 box at moment

If you are both on openatv 6.3 and wooshbuild
Infinity then format usb/hdd fat32 and make sure as you no to safely remove from computer as it will not mount properly on zgemma
Then setup hdd usb initialize on zgemma how you would normally
Then go to swap file and create swap file
And setup for auto start
Then go to epg Select recording press red then record (2)
Ok
Timer type record
Location /media/hdd/movie/
Recording type descramble and record ecm
Green for ok
Exit

Also I seem to think amd from my experience sky wb skin is best to use for recording
For some reason does not work on virgin skin

U can if it works make it permanent by going into recording settings and changing recording type

Needs to be 6.3 as 6.2 kept on spinning and freezing for me
