Hard wired vs Wifi

Has anyone experimented to see if using wifi (ie edision os mini or dongle in another box) causes significant service problems? I know everyone suggests to hardwire, which i do, but was wondering if wireless really is a lot worse. Thoughts?

wifi signals can be distorted by some electronics in the room like microwave,cordless phones,energy saving bulbs whereas wired cannot lag and quicker to use.

usb wifi can only run if box supports their protocol.

I have a amikoa3 in my living room and its hardwired and a openbox v8s in my bedroom which is using wifi and I see no difference in the service.
 
hardwire then homeplus and lastly wifi adapters for me can be too many things in a household that affect quality of the wifi signal which affected viewing
