Harddrive Issue?

Hi,

I am fairly new to this box...I am running on Open ATV 5

Anyway, I think there may be an issue with my timeshift/record functions/settings perhaps?

It will be fine for a couple of days, but then when I go to record/pause I get the white hand in the top left corner preventing me...
By the looks of it, it is because my drive is full (even though there are no saved recordings on there)

Could this be something to do with my timeshift perhaps?

To resolve the issue, I have to keep initialising and formatting my drive..

EDIT - I have just connected via FTP and my timeshift folder was full so this appears to be the issue...Does anyone have any idea on how to prevent it filling so quick?

yea mate one of the options in the timeshift settings needs configured, look for one that says 'timeshift -save action on zap' and set it to 'dont save' should solve your problem
 
should be, i cant see why anybody would want to save everything they watch anyway, its just wasting memory on your hdd, if you want it saved just record!
 
maby a new hdd or just go for a 16 or 32 gb usb should be plenty as long as when you watch your recordings you delete them
