help with second tuner

hi all can anybody advise me as to 2nd tuner not working when I try to record

What box?
What image?
Whats ur setup?
The more info u give the less time this takes

hi yeah the image is openvix Apollo 166 came on box im trying to update it but it wont recognise the image in rear usb on boot up when switched on the box is perfect apart from recording issue with second tuner however when it tested at satellite port it ok the box is a zgemma star 2s

For usb not flashing use other usbs or dl hddguru free pc program.
Use it to FULL not quick format the usb.
Then windows full not quick format.
Then try again.

Tuner config. Both set to 28.2e?

Satfinder
Both show full signal?

Menu
Setup
System
Customise
Pregerred tuner order S/C/T?

But if u fix/change usb u can use a backup which will be right

I had the same problem, though for me the fix involved long ladders and a new f connector for the LNB, as sucmnsee mentions if Satfinder isn't showing full signals for both then its likely a connection fault. My second connection had somehow corroded to dust at the LNB end.
