How do i add subtitles to non-fta channels and backed up video files with srt

How do i add subtitles to non-fta channels

I am using Dsayers lovely backup.

Was wondering how to get subtitles on sky cinema channels as with my skybox f3 all i had to do was press the subtitle button but with the zgemma it's different.

Anyway to have them enabled permanently?
