IPTV on Amiko Mini Se

Hi all, due to the sly channels going dark I need a fix for my father in law, can I get IPTV ON his existing Amiko or is it best to buy a new box (Zgemma, Miraclebox, Edision) and set him a new VM sub up or even IPTV on his new box.... what's better IPTV or VM sub ?
