Is the softmod guide PC OS independent?

Can I use the softmod guide from any PC OS? Or is strictly dependent of windows like every Wii softmod guide?

If so, I cant see any reason why you couldn't do it using any other O/S, as long as you can get winrar or some other such unzipping program for your O/S. All of the work is done by the Wii, once you put the contents of the .rar file on a blank SD card.

What O/S are you using? If it is Mac, then you can get the winrar program for it from the creators website, which is at :-

Any other O/S let me know and I will see if I can find a unzipping prog for it.

Why would you think that O/S says whether or not you can softmod??
