Kevin Doyle will miss Ireland's game in Slovakia

Kevin Doyle will miss the Republic of Ireland's vital Euro 2012 Group B qualifier with Slovakia because of a knee injury, the FAI have confirmed.



Doyle has returned to his club Wolverhampton Wanderers for treatment on the knock he sustained during Ireland's 3-2 loss to Russia in the Aviva Stadium on Friday night.


The squad of 21 players will travel to Slovakia tomorrow morning with Shane Long pushing for a start after his goalscoring substitute appearance against the Russians.
