Kodi/Plex - Watching rips stored on NAS

Hi

This week I setup my H.2S using the Dummies guide provided by Woosh in the sticky. I set up the optional Picons and added a line and it couldn't be easier. However, how do I watch my movies/pictures stored on my WHS (Windows Home Server) NAS?

iirc I pressed the blue button>Plugins and saw that there was a KodiDirect player for enigma2 but at this stage I had no idea to install it OTA (Over the Air).
Would I need to rescan my Movie database so it adds metadata to the titles so it's compatible with Kodi as I haven't seen a Plugin for Plex which I currently use on my Desktop PC?

There is a kodi version plugin called kodidirect , but can be hit and miss , most use the iptv plugin , works well for films , vumoo, yiffy and great quality

I will look into the alternatives instead.
