Just shows you you can NEVER trust an animal. But to me it does not look like it was attacking him, maybe jstu a bit of playfulness that got out of hand.
Methinks if the lion was truly intent on attacking that fella; it would've and we'd have a different ending to the story. I'm also of the opinion that the risk simply comes with the profession. Glad the trainer did not get mauled or worse.
