Looking for a good cable box

I have a xtrend et8000 and am looking to upgrade

Im looking for a cable box, i dont use sat so have no need for that

Can anyone suggest a good upgrade?

I also have a friend looking for a cable box but he has a tight budget so is looking for a basic box, if anyone knows of a good one to buy
