Mag 254 remote HELP PLZ

HI IVE BOUGHT A MAG 254 box but for some reason the remote doesn't seem to work only the keyboard button av and the blue off/on button but it doesn't do anything on the box every other button just makes the red on/off button flash can any 1 help me plz do I need a new remote??

Did you use the factory batteries? If so, try fresh new batteries. If good new batteries don't work, might have a bad remote. It's rare but happens.
