This is actually for a Tesco Hudl2 but think it's a operating system issue so hopefully pleanty of users here might have advice.
kids hudl 2 has a big battery drain issue.
restored it and it went away, the sd card has lots of films on and although it was mounted was no issue.
went into vlc and it sort of scanned the card to build a library of the films, now the battery drain is back to how it as was before the restore.
i think it is the old media server problem where it sticks and then keeps working in the background and kills the battery.
BUT....
last night i charged it up, took the sd card out and overnight (doing nothing) it still consumed 25% battery.
On older verion of the Os it would report more detail of what is using battery, now I just get Andorid as the explanation in battery usage.
No data packets are being sent, no screen life, no network activity, just Android doing something.
i had guessed that it as the sd card but even with it removed the same happens?
any one got a suggestion?
