Music Channels very glitchy on vermin line

I have had a technomate nano for over. A. Year now. All channels are brilliant except the music channels. I thought it was my line provider but have recently changed to another bloke and it's exactly the same problem. Some are black... then will suddenly work for a few minutes. Some not at all. Any help would be appreciated
 
Original virmin cable and splitter. Unsure of the signal. I' at work at the mo but will check later. What do I need to be looking for?
 
are all music channels in the music category glitching then, even the premium ones? I find mostly the ones that are available on sat for free are the culprits, the only premium one on my line that rarely clears on is mtv rocks but I dont like that channel so I'm not too fussed on it, mtv live hd on mine can be temperamental from time to time but seems to be working a lot better on my line this last few weeks so no grumbles there.
