HD51 4K MUTANT HD51 DLNA Server/Player

Hi

Running OPEN ATV 6 on the receiver - looking for a simple way to access movie/tv files on my network and play them.

Is there a specific plug in I need to download from extensions.

Been trying all morning to no avail.

Easiest way I found is to do a local search of your pc/laptop through mount manager select the name of your laptop and enter username and password....there is a guide on here for zgemma boxes but it's no different of set up...works well but I access mine through kodi...it can on both ways cause a bit of head scratching moment but you should get the better of it.

Where are you movies located ? Connected hard drive or network drive.

You can mount the shared drives through the network settings and allocate a button in the movie planner screen for easy access.

Hi yes mine are on my laptop and I just give my laptop/share folder rights to my hd51 box.you may need to configure your anti virus/firewall as well.

Hi - I have some movies on a networked pc upstairs - and some on a hard drive connected by usb to my netgear router.......

I have just downloaded PLEX on my PC - I'm sure I have seen a Plex download in the plug ins section of the mutant 51 - maybe dream plex ? Is this the same ?

Tried using KODI on the mutant to view the files but playback was awful.

Just follow what Willow3092 has posted. No need for Kodi or Dreamplex.
Just mount your network drives from the box menu.
Then use your list button on your remote and then press yellow button.
