MXQ Help

Good morning,
am sorry if this is in the wrong section!
basically iv just received my MXQ box today it has a few things installed already, iv tried installing showbox
but it's not working properly at all it just shows a black screen with links to Tv shows, update and then the magnifying glass in the top right
but that's it nothing else other than them!
can someone help me out please as am pulling what's left of my hair out trying to sort it

hi, just come across your post, is your box showing correct time (within a hour), as on my android box does that if not connecting to internet correctly.
if you want to watch movies and tv shows have a look for xbmc/kodi it may already be installed on box

i have a couple of mxq boxes and the firmware was crap so reflashed them with mediamans rom they run sweet now. try installing this movie app skyhdapp just like showbox
