net id confusion

woopac1

Newbie
hi guys I'm a newbie here so any help grateful I was given a test line for a oscam got 3 files when unzipped put them in relevant folders did scans get channels found but no picture started softcam ect but how do I know I'm on right net id I live in wigan found the number 40967 is this correct but the only number same as that in list comes up as preston 1 ? help

What box have you got ?

Wigan TW 40967 531.000 6.952

Net id 40967
Symbol rate 6952 (no decimal point)

If you scan and get about 350 channels then it's probably the right net id.

Try FTA channels like BBC and ITV to check you have a picture.

Then if it's just the $ channels not working it's probably down to your line.

Don't worry about the preston 1 thing, I am in liverpool and mine is described as manchester 3

it finds the vm channels but none work I'm using sucemnsees image if that makes any difference I have a sky line that works on the sky side of box but if I choose a vm channel the pictures freezes and thts it

thanks for that pal I hadn't checked the fta side of virgin got fta working on virgin now now for the hd side getting there slowly lol

ok, try this.

Go to menu > setup > service searching > tuner configuration

make sure tuner b is set to dvb-c
configuration mode - enabled
network id - 40967
used service type scan - provider
provider to scan - vrgin media uk (6952)

green button to save... followed by exit.... open autobouquet maker

(if you dont have autobouquet maker - menu > plugins > green button (download) > system plugins > select utobouquet maker)

---

lol ignore this. Channels scanned just fine it seems as your fta channels are clearing.

i assume your getting blank screen....

ok follow this...

ftp to the box, recommend filezilla, simple interface. Go to /usr/keys .... delete everything but newcamd.list and mg_cfg file
