Network/Ethernet problem.

Hi. I'm stuck big time here. My young lad was messing around with my box- Zgemma Star 2s- and now there's no internet connection and the box won't even recognize the Ethernet cable when plugged in. Any ideas regarding this? I'm hoping not to have to do a factory reset. :(
