Love/hate's Nidge and John Boy to star in new RTE Drama about Charlie Haughey
Love/hate's Nidge and John Boy to play CJH and his spindoctor PJ Mara in RTE drama
Another face from hit show Love/Hate, Tom Vaughan-Lawlor, who plays Nidge, is also starring in the show as Haughey’s advisor PJ Mara.
'Charlie', which is to be produced by Touchpaper Television and Element Films, will begin shooting next week.
The series will consist of three feature length episodes spanning from 1979 to 1992, documenting Haughey’s persuit of power and the emergence of modern Ireland.
The cast of approximately 45 stars also includes Lucy Cohu as Terry Keane, Gavin O’ Connor, Risteard Cooper, Peter O’ Meara, Frankie McCafferty and Love/Hate's Laurence Kinlan.
