Newbie help needed

Good morning all, yesterday I received my first STB so I sat down last night and tried to get it set up. I failed as I expected I would but now I'm unsure what to do, I think I may have screwed it up to the point my box needs flashing with openvix again. I am unable to download any plugins, it seems as if they do download but then nothing when I go into setup. It's also the first time I have used FTP and to be honest I felt way out of my depth.......... Someone please help me.

might help if you let us know which box you have? unless ive missed something.........
 
Good point, lol.
I guess that's a typical newbie thing to do.

My box is edision os mini, however since my post I have managed to download the latest openvix image and flash it......... Plugins are downloading correctly now.
Now I am trying to work out how to put my line in before giving it another go, I'm trying to do some more research on how it's done as I failed so miserably yesterday.
