Offical Movie Thread

Just got back home from watching:

Its an amazing film, if your looking for non stop action then this movie is the one for you.

Dan i thought it was crap - was not all that - could have been better. i would give it 6.5/10

I have not seen a decent movie for a fair few months now - all have been a major let down - Still to watch Sky Fall - i guess that's a movie i will enjoy.

Total Recall (2012)
I loved this movie, nice pace and the story was told much better than the original.
8.5/10

Paranormal Activity 4
I really enjoyed the first 3, this one was absolute crap, it made no sense and no story, obviously it was made to milk the cash cow, I shut it off after 30 mins.
1/10

The Dark Knight Rises
This movie is brilliant, story flows really well, there is a ton of symbolism in this film and it relates very well to what is going on in the world today.
I did find the first 1/2 hour a little slow, but after that it really gets going and never lets go.
I'll be picking up the blu-ray when it comes out, needs to be viewed more than once.
9/10

it's becoming a joke now - not one of them made me jump - all of them are rubbish - they wouldnt even get above 1 in my ratings.

Only watched Kick-Ass at the weekend and have to say it was well wort it. What a movie.

The reason I hadn`t watched it before was I thought it was going to be another teen comic flick.

Very violent but funny at the same time.

Turns out it is one of the most enjoyable films I`ve seen in a long time & as the film title says, It definitely "Kicks Ass".

I`d give it 8/10 no problem.

Looking forward to Kick-Ass 2 in the summer

Havent seen it yet. Just put the trailer up to remind people its coming out.

I just hope its better than the last one which was :poo:

most movies that have come out recently have been poor. Not lived up to expectations, only one i recently have enjoyed is Skyfall.

I watched these two last week & enjoyed both of them.

I thought "The Campaign" was hilarious. Had some very funny scenes.

"Looper", I have gotten about 1/2 way thru, and it was pretty good to that point.

Well, I was off from work on Christmas, for only the second time in 7 years. I was taking a nap when my brother-in-law invited me to go with him to see "The Hobbit" in 3-D. I must say, I was very well impressed with the movie, and since he paid the $18us each for 3-D, the effects were quite spectacular.

For me (who is an admitted non LOTR fan), I was very well into the movie, and may actually pay to go see the second one. Tho, next time, I will sneak in my own snacks ($11.50us for a medium popcorn and large Coke....jaysus!!)
